Опис пројекта:

Wildfires pose a significant challenge for the IPA ADRION region, as they contribute to the reduction of forest areas, threaten biodiversity, and increase CO2 emissions into the atmosphere. The RES2FIRE project aims to develop joint solutions and methods for fire prevention, through the management of vegetative fuel and natural forestry interventions that enhance ecosystem resilience. Through risk mapping, pilot actions, damage assessment tools, and risk mitigation plans, the project provides concrete measures for protecting fire-prone areas. The transnational approach ensures collaboration among various stakeholders and promotes the application of solutions across the region. RES2FIRE contributes to more effective nature protection and strengthening the capacity for climate change adaptation.
